H.P. Lovecraft is a character in the manga Bungou Stray Dogs. He is NOT the actual author (who doesn't even exist in his world), but his character is inspired by Lovecraft's works like the other characters of the manga are inspired by the works of their respective authors.

H.P Lovecraft is a strange individual who comes off as nonchalant and somewhat miserable. He is somewhat paranoid when it comes to undue attention, and is not actively malicious towards anyone. He bears the superhuman ability The Great Old Ones, which allows him to turn parts of his body into masses of thrashing tentacles (though there is debate as to whether his ability is even an ability at all...)
